"I guarantee that Indonesia`s palm oil quality is the best in the world," Enggartiasto said.Moscow (ANTARA News) - Indonesias Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita has assured Russian businessmen of the high quality of Indonesias palm oil products.
"I guarantee that Indonesias palm oil quality is the best in the world," Enggartiasto stated at the opening of Indonesia-Russia palm oil business forum in Moscow on Thursday.
The forum is part of the second Indonesian Festival, organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow from Aug 4 to 6, to promote the countrys goods, services, and tourism in Russia.
The forum has established Indonesia-Russia Palm Oil Association.
The minister reiterated that the European Union resolution on Indonesian palm oil, claiming that the commodity has caused health problems and deforestation, was merely business competition.
"The resolution was very unfair. I have explained this to the European Union and they were convinced after I could prove that they were wrong," he noted.
Enggartiasto assured that with its high quality, Indonesias palm oil did not pose any risk to human health nor any damage to the environment.
"Please come to Indonesia, seeing is believing. Let us see how the palm oil management in Indonesia is. There is nothing to worry at all," he added.
The government would maintain national products quality to trade them fairly in the global market. (*)
