Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received several representatives of World Bank Indonesia in Bogor Presidential Palace, here, on Tuesday.

The World Bank officials were Head Representative of World Bank Indonesia Rodrigo Chaves, Lead Economist Frederico Gil Sander, Program Leader for Sustainable Development Taimur Samad, Program Leader for Human Development Camilla Holmemo, Program Leader for Equitable Growth, Finance, and Institutions Yongmei Zhou, and Operations Officer Steisianasari Mileiva.

Jokowi was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani.

They held a closed-door meeting in the palace. The meeting was a follow up of World Bank President Jim Yong Kim`s visit to Jakarta on July 26, 2017.

Kim, who was accompanied by Rodrigo Chaves last July, and Jokowi discussed preparations for the holding of IMF-World Bank annual meeting to be held in Bali next year.

Some 15 thousand to 17 thousand people from 189 countries, including country officials, international observers, academics, journalists, and representatives of non-governmental organizations, are expected to participate in the annual event.

Panjaitan had earlier stated that the IMF-WB annual meeting would significantly benefit Indonesia as the host country.

"There is a lot to gain, especially in the field of economy, from the world?s biggest economic and finance meeting," Panjaitan revealed after elaborating on the progress in the preparations of the meeting to the leaders of the House of Representative in Jakarta, recently.

The meeting, with an estimated economic value of US$115 million, will have some 15 thousand delegates as attendees, who will mainly stay at hotels during the seven-day meeting, he remarked.

The government has approved a budget of Rp810 billion for the meeting, including Rp200 billion for the procurement of computers and supporting equipment.

"The computers would be handed out as grants to schools in the regions (after the meeting)," he concluded.
