The head of the Public Information Bureau of the Indonesia Police Brigadier General M. Iqbal, confirmed the post transfers here on Friday evening, adding one of the officers entering retirement was General Budi Gunawan, who is currently the chief of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
"Pak (Mr) BG (Budi Gunawan) will retire as a police officer but he will still be the chief of BIN because BIN is not under police regulation. As a police member he has to retire, according to the regulation, because he has reached 58 years old," he said.
The rest to be transferred are; Brigadier General Didik Purnomo as a high-ranking officer of the police headquarters, Brigadier General Suprayitno as a high-ranking officer at the National Police`s Crime Investigation Department, and Inspector General Arief Dharmawan as a high ranking officer of the anti-terrorist squad Densus 88.
Brigadier General Eldi Azwar will be transferred as a high-ranking officer of Baharkam (the security maintenance agency), Senior Commissioner I Wayan Sudana will be now a middle-ranking officer of the Bali regional police command.
Inspector General Bambang Hermanu will be transferred as a Human Resource Staff (SSDM) member, Brigadier General Wakin Mardiwiyono as an SSDM officer, and Inspector General Nicolaus Eko as an SSDM officer.
