Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Metro Jaya Police Department`s investigators have questioned 10 witnesses over the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) building`s mezzanine floor incident in which 73 people were hurt.

"The investigators have questioned witnesses from all quarters, including college students, securities, and employees," Metro Jaya Police Department`s spokesman Senior Commissioner Argo Yuwono noted here on Tuesday.

Some 73 visitors and employees were injured when IDX`s mezzanine floor of Tower II collapsed on Monday at around 11:55 a.m. local time.

Yuwono revealed that the department will question some other witnesses who saw the mezzanine floor collapse.

The investigation is co-chaired by Deputy of General Criminal Investigation Adjunct Senior Commissioner Ade Ary and Head of the Ballistic Metallurgy Forensic Laboratory Senior Commissioner Ulung, and they have conducted a crime scene investigation.

Currently, the Metro Jaya Police Department`s spokesman said 12 victims had been discharged and 61 people were still hospitalized.

Earlier, IDX`s President Director Tito Sulistio had claimed that the trading of shares remained uninterrupted despite the incident occurred.

"The stock trading system of 180 security companies is running normally," Sulistio noted.
