Agus Martowardojo, the current governor of BI, will enter his retirement period in May 2018.
The president is expected to send a letter proposing the names of candidates for the BI governor`s post to the House of Representatives at the end of this February.
After receiving the proposal, the Parliament will conduct a fit and proper test.
On January 15, 2018, President Jokowi had sent a letter proposing three names as candidates for BI`s deputy governor.
BI Governor Martowardoko had, in fact, suggested the names of Dody Budi Waluyo, Doddy Zulverdi, and Wiwiek Sisto Widayat.
