The objective behind holding the meeting was to introduce the new board of directors of Eurocham in Indonesia, Magee stated.
"The reason behind holding this meeting is since there is a new board of directors of Eurocham for Indonesia. We want to be connected with the authorities and stakeholders as soon as possible to demonstrate that we have confidence in the future of European businesses in Indonesia," Magee, who was accompanied by Tomas Lembong, chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board, stated.
He noted that cooperation between Indonesia and Europe had strengthened.
Indonesia has also made progress in its regulations to help improve the performance of bilateral businesses, he remarked.
Eurocham represents 1,200 members of the European Union business entities that employ some 1.5 million workers, of which 99 percent are Indonesians.
