"Welcome. I hope you enjoyed the Asian Games opening ceremony last night," he said opening his speech.
He was accompanied by President of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) and chairman of the Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC) Erick Thohir.
He said he hoped the meeting could produce decisions that would advance spirit in Asia.
"We all wish all countries could participate in the organization of championships in Asia. Let us support and make sports in Asia successful," he said while declaring the opening of the meeting.
OCA President Ahmad Fahaf Al Sabah in his opening address said OCA expressed appreciation to Indonesia for the hard work hosting the Asian Games 2018.
"We thank for the hard work of the government and the people of Indonesia as host of the Asian Games and we have been impressed by the opening ceremony event last night," he said.
The first agenda of the meeting was presentation of OCA awards to organizations and individuals considered having given outstanding service to advance sports in Asia, followed by hearing reports from the OCA board.
