Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian gymnast Rifda Irfanaluthfi won a silver medal in the floor exercise category during the gymnastics event at the Asian Games 2018 here on Friday.

Rifda won the medal after scoring 12.750 in the women`s competition. The gold medal went to North Korean gymnast Su Jong Kim, who scored 13.025, while the bronze medal was won by Japanese athlete Shiho Nakaji, with a score of 13.600.

Rifda`s success made up for her failure in the vault event on Thursday when she finished fourth.

Indonesian Agus Prayoko earlier won a bronze medal in the vault event.

Indonesia has never won a medal from the gymnastic event in the history of Asian Games so far.
