"In our opinion, preparations have gone very well and can later produce successful meetings," IMF spokesman Gerry Rice remarked in a statement received here on Friday.
Rice said IMF also lauded the readiness of the Indonesian authorities to ensure safety and comfort of the participants of the IMF-WB annual meeting in the Indonesian island resort of Bali.
Furthermore, he noted that 15 thousand participants were ready to visit Bali to attend the meeting to discuss issues related to the global economy.
"We believe this is an interesting agenda, and preparations are fully complete. We hope to meet you soon at the meeting later," he remarked.
In the meantime, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan stated that preparations for the IMF-World Bank annual meeting had reached 94 to 95 percent completion.
One such preparation includes the inauguration of a "Command Center" to integrate the combined tasks of the Indonesian National Police in order to maintain security.
"The TNI and Polri Headquarters have established good cooperation, so we hope that all would truly be integrated," Pandjaitan added.
