Bandarlampung, Lampung (ANTARA News) - A tectonic earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale hit the southwestern part of Lampung on Tuesday at 00.08:52 a.m. Western Indonesia Standard time (WIB), according to the local office of Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).

The earthquake was located at 6.47 degrees South Latitude, 103.80 degrees East Longitude, 142 kilomaters southwest of the Pesisir Barat, Lampung at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Previously, on Sept 2, a 4.9-magnitude earthquake rocked southwestern part of the Pesisir Barat, Lampung Province at 08.07 am local time.

According to the BMKG, the epicenter of the earthquake was located around 284 kilometers away from southwest of Pesisir Barat District at a depth of 10 kilometers.
