The contingent comprises soccer players, officials, and coaches of the U-16 team.
The head of state was accompanied by Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi and Minister/State Secretary Pratikno while receiving the contingent.
During the meeting, Jokowi expressed pride over the team being able to compete with other teams from several countries.
"I think there have been all-out fights. I was very happy when the team won against Iran and scored 0-0 against India," Jokowi noted.
He believes there are ample opportunities to make the team the nation`s pride.
