Nusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA News) - State telecommunication company PT Telkom Indonesia prepares reliable internet capacity with high speed of up to 40 gigabits per second to support the Annual Meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Nusa Dua, Bali.

"Reliable and always on telecommunication and information services are need by the thousands of attendees of the IMF-WB Annual Meeting in Bali," Telkom Enterprise Director Dian Rachmawan remarked here on Tuesday.

He said that the high-speed internet connection is equipped with security features or "security firewall", providing 1,170 wireless internet access and withdrawal of wired internet or LAN networks for 2,740 points.

Dian added that for network readiness, the state-owned company carried out the 180 "core optical fiber cable to the location of the operation.

In addition, a 300 member-team of Telkom Siaga network technicians were placed, with 160 people of them are tasked with escorting IMF and World Bank meetings.

The officers were also added with 110 network technicians and experts ("LAN, wireless, security") who were ready 24 hours to monitor every network both domestic and international traffic.

Telkom Group, he said, also presents fast internet services, Telkomsel`s "mobile broadband" and wireless internet at all event venues including Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Bali International Convention Center, Bali Nusa Dua Hotel, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, Lagoon Hotels, Ngurah Rai Airport and Garuda Wishnu Kencana.

Previously Telkomsel`s Network Director Bob Apriawan said that he had prepared more than 1,500 3G Base Transceiver Station (BTS) and more than 1,000 4G BTS in Bali.

To increase the range, capacity and capability at the location of the meeting, Bob in his press statement continued that no less than 211 new 4G BTS were built in Bali and surrounding areas.
