The agreement was signed by Indonesian Minister of Law and Human Right Yasonna Hamonangan Laoly and Japanese Justice Minister Takashi Yamashita in Tokyo on Wednesday .
The agreement would strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the legal activities including in seminar, training, research and exchange of experience.
The two countries would cooperate in programs to develop the capacity related to immigration, development of legal system in civil and commercial sectors.
In addition, the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Right and Japan`s Justice Ministry will hold a number of international conferences and promotional activities and protection of human rights and other activities agreed upon by the two ministries.
In addition signing the Memorandum of Cooperation, Yasonnal visited Japan to attend the annual session of Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) taking place in Tokyo on October 9-10, 2018.
