"We want to enter the regional market. We have 30 years of experience and good track record and are financially capable," Angkasa Pura II Finance Director Andra Y Agussalam said here on Wednesday.
The Philippines has opened a chance for investors to manage and develop the airport, which is formerly the US air base, he stated.
"The Philippines has opened an international tender. We will join it. The tender has started and Mr Awal (PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin) has left for Manila, the Philippines," he remarked.
He added that PT Angkasa Pura II will team up with Air Asia Group and private companies in the Philippines to jointly operate the airport.
"We will set up a joint venture company and file tender documents. Among the tender participants are Zurich Airport and Changi Airport," he explained.
PT Angkasa Pura II will set aside some Rp350 billion or 35 percent of the joint venture company`s shares," he pointed out.
