"We have prepared everything to welcome the largest event that will be participated in by a total of 170 countries," Risma remarked, during a press conference with the founder and chairman of CT Corp., Chairul Tanjung, here on Saturday.
She added that four major activities will be held, namely Innocreativation on Nov 14 and 15, Bekraf Festival on Nov 14 and 17, Startup Nations Summit on Nov 16 and 17, and the closing ceremony, which will be enlivened with a pleasure trip to Tunjungan, which is famous for what is called "Malku-mlaku nang Tunjungan," on Nov 18.
Risma admitted that she deliberately held the big activities because Surabaya has begun to enter a new era of startup growth, an era where self-learning had begun.
"This series of activities is something big that we hold for Indonesia," the mayor of Surabaya remarked, adding that this major event will be a great opportunity for young people of Surabaya to develop creative industry.
"It is time to start, because in my opinion, the creative industry will not die until the end," she added.
The event, which is to be held at the Grand City Convex Surabaya, will raise themes such as fintech, CEO challenges in the millennial era, product innovation, creative secrets, and sharpening the brain.
In the meantime, CT Corp. Founder and Chairman Chairul Tanjung explained that the innocreativation is an event where innovators and creative people gather together and disseminate their knowledge and experience in the fields of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship to the younger generation, especially those in East Java and other provinces in Indonesia.
