The workshop, held on Nov 24-25, is being attended by participants from across the country.
Executive Director of the Muslim Youth Forum on International Issues Mohammad Anthoni stated at the opening of the event in Jakarta on Saturday that the workshop was held to equip the participants with basic understanding on global issues.
"They might not have been as aware or attentive towards issues on foreign politics. At this forum, we aim to show them what is taking place in the international community and how these issues affect Indonesia," he stated.
He further explained that the workshop is expected to yield new leaders from the youth that harbor a global perspective in looking at existing issues.
Additionally, with the new media age where information is distributed easily, the millennial generation is expected to be able to choose right information and fight fake news.
"They were also taught how to write for different media platforms, including social media, using accurate data," he added.
