Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo`s Indonesia Democratic Party Struggle (PDIP) continues to conduct consolidation to ensure the incumbent`s victory for a second term in office and PDIP in the parliamentary and presidential elections on April 17, 2019.

"Today, we gather provincial board members to consolidate the road to victory for the party as well as its presidential and vice presidential candidates," PDIP`s Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto remarked before opening a coordination meeting on Elections 2019 at the party`s headquarters here on Saturday.

He noted that with the same objective in mind, party board members and regional leaders hailing from the party had met in November.

"Today, it is all members of the party structure at the provincial level that have gathered to discuss strategic steps and evaluate and boost efforts by success teams of the Jokowi-Ma`ruf Amin pair and PDIP," he noted.

The meeting was attended by three representatives from each regional chapter constituting chairperson, secretary, and treasurer. Topics to be discussed covered political dynamics and mapping.
