The meeting between the two police chiefs took place on the sidelines of Victoria Police and Leadership in Countering Terrorism Forum held in Australia on Tuesday.
The meeting was aimed at confirming the two countries` commitment to forge agreement between Polri and AFP.
"I and Commissioner Andrew Colvin have committed ourselves to always forge cooperation between the two countries` police through personnel capacity building and information exchange as a common step to minimize the threat of transnational crimes in the region," Tito said in a written statement.
Tito and Colvin also discussed a plan to hold a Senior Officers Meeting (SOM) 2019 in Indonesia.
"Among the several issues that will become the topic of discussion at the SOM 2019 will be cyber crime and human trafficking," he said.
