Jokowi asks PKB to prevent hoaxes to improve electability

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has asked a number of legislative candidates from the National Awakening Party (PKB) to prevent hoaxes, in order to increase the party`s electability.

"Nowadays, issues can change quickly; therefore, they must be rectified, so that they do not affect the party`s electability," the president stated in his remarks, during the PKB Candidate Consolidation event, at Balai Sarbini, Jakarta, on Monday.

According to Jokowi, the electability of the party continued to increase.

He directed a number of PKB politicians and leaders to safeguard this.

"I need to say that from the last survey I realized that all PKB candidates have high potential," the president noted.

At the event, the president was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.

A number of PKB politicians present included PKB Chairperson Muhaimin Iskandar, or Cak Imin; Eko Putro Sandjojo; and Hanif Dhakiri.
