The Grand Royal Wedding was held at the Pakualaman Palace, Yogyakarta, on Saturday.
Based on Antara`s observation, several kings and sultans arrived at the Pakualaman Complex at 10 a.m. local time.
Several kings attending the Grand Royal Wedding are from the kingdoms of Gowa, Sekala Brak Lampung Barat, Denpasar Bali, and Kasunanan Surakarta.
"I attend the Grand Royal Wedding, and it is the first time for me. This event becomes a new page in history," Head of Customary Institutions for Kasunanan Surakarta Gusti Mung remarked.
Mung expressed hope that the bride and bridegroom would emulate and carry forward what had been achieved by earlier leaders.
"Wish Bendara Pangeran Harya (BPH) Kusumo Bimantoro a happy ending with Maya Lakshita Noorya and be a happy family," Mung remarked.
Meanwhile, King of Gowa, South Sulawesi, Andi Kumala Ijo, congratulated the newlyweds.
"I want to express my congratulations," Ijo stated while wishing the couple a happy marriage.
After the ijab kabul, Islamic version of the holy matrimony procession, the wedding reception will be held at the palace`s Sewotomo Hall at 11 a.m. local time.
Kusumo Bimantoro, born in Yogyakarta on April 10, 1992, is the eldest son of the Duke of Pakualaman, Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya (KGPAA) Paku Alam X, who is also the deputy governor of Yogyakarta.
Kusumo Bimantoro graduated from the Faculty of Technique, Gadjah Mada University.
Meanwhile, Maya Lakshita Noorya was born in Sleman on April 27, 1991.
Lakshita Noorya, daughter of Mandiyo Priyo, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
