The landslide occurred on Tuesday at around 5 a.m. local time and buried a home of the family comprising four members, I Made Rentin of the Bali disaster mitigation office, said here on Tuesday.
The victims were Ketut Budikaca, his wife Luh Sentiani (27), daughter Putu Rikasih (9) and son Kadek Dodit Wiguna (5).
The landslide was triggered by incessant heavy rain, Rentin noted.
The Buleleng authorities distributed relief aid and dispatched personnel to carry out evacuation efforts.
The Bali administration will provide compensation worth Rp15 million for each dead victim.
Meanwhile, a landslide killed two people and injured several others in Tatituhu Village, Kubu Sub-district, Karangasem District, Bali Island, on Sunday evening.
"I convey my condolences over the demise of the two villagers in Jatituhu," Artha Dipa, the deputy district head of Karangasem, stated while visiting the village affected by the landslide.
Dipa distributed relief aid comprising food and blankets, among other things, to the victims.
Among the injured victims were six children.
Dipa urged local residents to remain vigilant in the current peak rainy season that often triggers hydrological natural disasters, such as flood, landslide, and whirlwind.
