The investigation was postponed until their health was stable, chief of the crime and violence sub-directorate of the general criminal detective directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Adjunct Senior Commissioner Jerry Siagian said.
The police had originally planned to investigate the two KPK investigators as witnesses at 10.00 a.m. local time on Wednesday.
The police received a report of the alleged torture from KPK personnel on Sunday evening.
KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah remarked that a group of people tortured the KPK investigators at a hotel in Jakarta on Saturday (Feb 2) while they were checking the truth of public information indicating a corruption case.
As a result, the two KPK personnel sustained injuries.
"Although they produced the KPK identity card, a group of people beat them up," he added.
The anti-graft body is coordinating with the police to process the reported case of torture by a group of people.
