We beg you to remember that if Allah (God) is willing to give a mandate to Prabowo and Sandi, we are also fortified by ensuring good governance, good corporate governance based on a meritocracy system. This is our commitment.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno (Sandi) has pledged to ensure better management of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in his role as vice president if he emerges victorious in the 2019 Presidential Election.

"We appeal to you to always bear in mind that if Allah (God) is willing to give a mandate to Prabowo and Sandi, we are also fortified by delivering good governance, good corporate governance, based on a meritocracy system. This is our commitment," Sandi remarked while meeting with the Federation of Trade Unions of the SOEs synergy here, Wednesday.

The vice presidential candidate elaborated that meritocracy was a system to offer an opportunity to people for managing or leading an organization on the basis of their abilities or achievements.

The federation of SOEs Synergy has extended an invitation to Sandi for the fourth National Working Meeting 2019.

Numerous recommendations resulting from the meeting, included the principle of neutrality that objects to the assignment of campaign team members, volunteers, or groups supporting presidential candidates, and political parties in the SOEs.

"Any individual, who is the best, in terms of commitment, achievements, and a good track record, must be granted the opportunity to manage SOEs. It should not be that members of campaign teams, volunteers, or supporting groups are being favored and in the process several good individuals out there are being ignored," Sandi emphasized.
