Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential and vice-presidential candidates Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno excelled in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by surpassing the number of votes won by the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair in the 2019 presidential election.

In the vote recapitulation conducted at the KPU RI on Tuesday, Prabowo-Sandi saw 5,133 votes, while Jokowi-Ma'ruf got 3,576 votes.

The number of valid votes in the presidential and vice presidential elections in Riyadh amounted to 8,709, while the invalid votes were 152.

The total number of voters was 41,567 people, while only 8,851 people cast their votes.

Riyadh's PPLN member, Agus, said that the low number of voters in Riyadh was a result of many factors, including not caring about the election and the possibility of migrant workers being barred from exercising their right to vote by employers in Riyadh.

Until now, the Indonesian KPU is still carrying out the process of recapitulating votes in the elections conducted abroad and has divided the recapitulation plenary meeting across two rooms to efficiently manage time..

KPU targets the vote recapitulation process to be completed on May 8, 2019.

Although the votes across various regions abroad have been recapitulated, the KPU has not uploaded any results into Situng.
