Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Education and Culture has called on schools, particularly vocational high schools, to forge synergy with the Industrial Community, Business Community (locally known as the abbreviation of DUDI).

"The DUDI's support holds significance to ascertain that vocational education is in tune with the requirements of the workforce," Head of the Sub Directorate of Vocational Alignment and Industrial Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Culture's Vocational Development Directorate, Saryadi Guyatno ST MBA stated at the launch of the Erajaya Micro Learning or EMiL here on Wednesday.

He remarked that the DUDI and government have an intrinsic role to play in ensuring the delivery of quality education. Hence, the relationship is vital. To this end, it opens opportunities for the industrial world to cooperate with vocational schools.

"Demands for work-related competency continue to grow. Hence, we welcome cooperation with this industry," he affirmed.

Guyatno emphasized that the goal was singular and pertained to producing competent graduates, who are required by the workforce. Hence, he welcomed the EMiL application launched by PT Erajaya Swasembada.

EMiL is an online learning application on competency expertise for the vocational school level. Vocational students and teachers, who have registered, can use the EMiL application

On the occasion, Saryadi expressed hope that through the use of the application, students and teachers would be able to boost their competencies prior to setting foot in the world of work.

Meanwhile, Director of HR, Legal, and CSR of PT Erajaya Swasembada Jimmy Perangin Angin expressed gladness to be able to contribute to enhancing educational services.

"We are thinking that in the world of technology today, no single industry remains untouched digitally. Hence, it changes quite rapidly. Well, how do you improve your competence and process through this EMiL," Angin emphasized.
