Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a statement on Monday that Prabowo called for top-tier emergency measures from all government institutions amid widespread floods and landslides across Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
"First, the president urged all institutions to act swiftly, accurately, and consistently to ensure the safety and recovery of disaster-affected residents," Wijaya said.
He added that Prabowo instructed the military, police, the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), and the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) to reinforce coordination in reopening transport access and distributing aid.
For the third directive, Wijaya said Prabowo emphasized prioritizing home reconstruction to support residents displaced by severe flooding.
He noted that the president also reaffirmed the government's commitment to phased and precise disaster response while remaining alert to environmental hazards on the ground.
In the fifth directive, Prabowo ordered stricter management of aid distribution to guarantee adequate stock and timely delivery of essential goods, especially medicine.
Wijaya said the president also stressed the need to ensure survivors receive sufficient clothing, whether through government programs or community donations.
In his final instruction, Prabowo reminded officials to maintain integrity and uphold good governance throughout the entire disaster response process.
Prabowo expressed appreciation to central and regional officials, joint search and rescue teams, volunteers, and the public, saying Indonesia’s resilience depends on collective cooperation.
"Thank you, I am proud of your dedication," he said.
