It is true that there will be questioning in the case against the suspect identified by his initials as MN.Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has issued a summons to Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly over investigation into an e-ID card graft case on Tuesday.
The minister will face the KPK's questioning as a witness in the case against a House of Representatives (DPR) member from the Golkar Party, who was named suspect in the graft case.
"It is true that questioning will take place in connection with the case against the suspect identified by his initials as MN," KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah noted in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Laoly was issued a summons in his capacity as former member of the DPR Commission II from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).
The anti-graft body also summoned two other witnesses -- Deputy Chairman of the DPR Commission II Taufiq Effendi of the Democrat Party faction and DPR member Arif Wibowo of the PDIP faction -- in the case against MN on Tuesday.
Laoly has been cross-examined on several occasions as a witness in the case against several suspects in the e-ID card graft case that have now been convicted.
The KPK has named MN a suspect in the e-ID card graft case on grounds of preventing, obstructing or foiling, directly or indirectly, questioning during the trial of the e-ID card graft case. Related news: Agus Martowardojo undergoes KPK examination as witness in e-ID case
