Riza expounded that designing of the EV charging system will be in line with the standard finalized by the National Standardization Agency (BSN) and the National Accreditation Commission (AKN).
"Electric cars and motorbikes to be operated in Indonesia must have a single plug-in charging system, so the tool can be manufactured by all factories in the country," Riza remarked during the EV exhibition.
The BPPT chief noted that his office is currently still reviewing the EV charging technologies, mainly in terms of their safety and aptness.
Until now, the BPPT had conducted a review of five EV charging models to be proposed to the National Standardization Agency.
Riza affirmed that the Indonesian government had assigned the BPPT to ensure proper planning to ensure ecosystem readiness for EV migration in the country.
