Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vietnam’s Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh will arrive here, Saturday, to grace elected President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin’s inauguration with his presence at the parliamentary complex, Sunday, an official stated.

"Vietnam's VP will arrive at the Halim Perdanakusuma airport at around 7 p.m. local time. I will welcome and assist the VP during her visit in Jakarta," Ambassador of Indonesia to Vietnam Ibnu Hadi remarked after attending an interview at the ANTARA news agency's office.

Following her arrival at the Halim Perdanakusuma airport, Thinh was scheduled to stay at a five-star accommodation in Central Jakarta. "The hotel was selected, as it was situated in proximity to the parliamentary complex," Hadi stated.

For the inauguration of Jokowi and Ma'ruf Amin, Thinh, will be accompanied by 20 officials of Vietnam's government.

"Before attending the inauguration, Vietnam's VP is scheduled to attend a courtesy call with President Jokowi. Hence, Vietnam's delegation will arrive at the parliamentary complex at around 1 p.m. local time. During the courtesy call, Vietnam's VP and Indonesia's president will discuss some bilateral issues," Hadi expounded.

Apart from a meeting with President Jokowi, VP Thinh was also scheduled to pay a courtesy call to Indonesia's Vice President-elect Ma'ruf Amin after the inauguration on Sunday.

Apart from Vietnam's vice president, the inauguration will also be attended by Malaysia's Prime Minister Tun Mahathir Mohamad, Vice Foreign Minister of Japan Nakayama Norihiro, The King of Eswantini Mswati III, and other representatives from China, South Korea, and the United States.
