Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's First Lady Iriana Jokowi dressed in white traditional blouse of "kebaya" combined with batik long skirt which has the motif of "tambal pamiluto" on presidential inauguration.

Batik "tambal pamiluto" which originally comes from Mangkunegaran Palace of Surakarta (Solo) has the meaning of "mesmerize", Diana Santosa from the Indonesian Batik Foundation revealed.

"It has a good meaning, and basically shows a combination of many batik motifs into one. As if she wanted to show the diversity through it. Very beautiful," Santosa told ANTARA in Jakarta on Sunday.

Santosa added that Iriana Jokowi has a good taste on her today's event outfit.

"Combined with white kebaya, she looks very pure yet strong, and the batik is very stand out. It is clearly visible how Mrs Iriana Jokowi 'knits' the diversity of Indonesia," Santosa affirmed.

The presidential inauguration of President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin for the period of 2019 to 2014 took place at the Indonesian Parliament Building in Jakarta, on Sunday around 3.30 p.m.
