The president conveyed several other areas that had to be worked on for development with Japan, including agro or technology related to the export of agribusiness goods, specifically sanitary technologyJakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held discussions on approaches to intensify economic cooperation with Japan during a meeting with the Japan-Indonesia Association (Japinda) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
"The president conveyed several other areas that had to be worked on for development with Japan, including agro or technology related to the export of agribusiness goods, specifically sanitary technology," Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated during a press conference at the President's Office, Jakarta, Wednesday.
Hartarto also spoke of the president conveying plans for cooperation in the field of tourism in several areas of New Bali, including Lake Toba, Borobudur, Mandalika, and Labuan Bajo.
Furthermore, the president deliberated with Japinda on expediting cooperation in the energy sector.
"The design and land acquisition for the Masela project had been delivered. Local content is being prepared, and the project will employ workers there. Projects will run from 2022 to 2027," Hartarto noted.

Hartarto highlighted the need for further frameworks to boost the quality of human resources.
He quoted the president as saying that the omnibus law will be prepared to tackle problems in investment.
Some Japinda members also conveyed the progress in investment in Indonesia, including Toyota that had produced over 10 million units and will boost research for the country's graduated engineers, while Taisei has put forth an offer for flood management system in big cities, including for handling flooding in Jakarta.
The Japinda delegation was led by its President, Fukuda Yasuo.
During the meeting, President Jokowi was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
Apart from Fukuda, Special Advisor to Japanese Prime Minister Izumi Hiroto, Senior Advisor of Corporate at Japinda Kuroda Naoki, Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Ishii Masafumi, and JAPINDA Vice President Shiojiri Kojiro were also present at the meeting.
Furthermore, Tokyo Gas Director Hirose Michiaki, Taisei Corporation Director Yamauchi Takashi, Daihatsu Motor President Okudaira Soichiro, Toyota Tsusho Corporation Executive Vice President Yanase Hideki, Sumitomo Forestry Executive Vice President Sasabe Shigeru, and Senior Chief of Shimizu Corporation Okamoto Tadashi also met with the president.
