All witnesses will be examined for the suspect Garuda's former Director of Technical and Aircraft Management for the 2007-2012 period, Hadinoto Soedigno.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Thursday, summoned seven witnesses in a bribery case involving Garuda Indonesia over the procurement of Airbus S.A.S and Rolls-Royce P.L.C.

All witnesses will face cross-examination for suspect Garuda's former director of Technical and Aircraft Management for the 2007-2012 period, Hadinoto Soedigno, as confirmed by KPK spokesperson, Febri Diansyah, in Jakarta.

The witnesses are Garuda's VP Aircraft Maintenance Management Batara Silaban, Senior Manager Engine Management Azwar Anas, VP Enterprise Risk Management and Subsidiaries E. Enny Kristiani, and CEO of ISS Indonesia Company or Garuda's former director of Strategic Service and Information Technology Elisa Lumbantoruan.

Garuda's commissioner or its former EVP of Finance Eddy Porwanto Poo, Garuda's former VP Aircraft Maintenance Dodi Yasendri, and housewife Dessy Fadjriaty were the other witnesses.

Apart from Soedigno, the KPK named two other suspects in the same case, specifically the company's former president director for the 2005-2014 period Emirsyah Satar and the Beneficial Owner of Connaught International Pte. Ltd, Soetikno Soedarjo.

The anti-graft body identified the total nominal value of the bribes received by the three suspects reaching Rp100 billion (some US$7 million).

Satar and Soedarjo were named suspects in the procurement of aircraft earlier in January 2017. They were both again named suspects in a money laundering case in August 2019.

The KPK had completed their files, as they will be facing trials soon.
