We asked them individually. They did not complain about any disease. Surely, they were worried and frightenedJakarta (ANTARA) - The Health Ministry has tracked down 10 people, with a history of close contact to two patients diagnosed and found to have tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) infection.
The 10 people have agreed to visit the Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital in North Jakarta to undergo checkups, the government’s spokesman for Covid-19, Achmad Yurianto, stated on Wednesday.
"We asked them individually. They did not complain about any disease. Surely, they were worried and frightened," Yurianto, concurrently the director general of disease prevention and control of the Health Ministry, noted at a press conference.
Two Indonesians had tested positive for Covid-19 after coming in close contact with a Japanese national, who travelled from Malaysia to Indonesia.
The Japanese national has been positively diagnosed with Covid-19 after he returned to Malaysia.
Currently, the authorized agency continues to look for people, who had come in close contact with the two Covid-19 patients in the Amigos cluster in Jakarta. The two Indonesians and one Japanese had visited Amigos.
"The number of people (who had close contact with the patients) in the cluster that we tracked today is likely to be more than 10. Hopefully, all of them will test negative for Covid-19, so we will no longer think of sub-clusters," he added.
The tracking will become complicated in the event of sub-clusters, he added.
