Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital (RSPI) in Jakarta has recorded around 70 COVID-19 recoveries so far, with three more patients discharged from the hospital as of Wednesday.

Three more have patients recovered from the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) at the hospital in the past 24 hours, the hospital stated.

The hospital is currently treating nine COVID-19 patients and 16 patients under surveillance — 14 of the patients are being treated in isolated rooms and two patients have been admitted into the intensive care unit (ICU), the statement said.

The hospital has also admitted four new patients and recorded two deaths in the past 24 hours. The dead include one patient under surveillance and one confirmed coronavirus patient.

Since treating the first COVID-19 case, the hospital has handled 117 patients under surveillance and 56 confirmed coronavirus patients.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Indonesia has risen by 218 to 2,956 on Wednesday (April 8), with 18 more people recovering and 19 more patients succumbing to the infection.
