"The rapid test conducted on journalists covering COVID-19-related issues in North Maluku is part of the efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, as they are also at the forefront in disseminating (COVID-19) information to the public," Head of the Protocol, Cooperation, and Public Communication Bureau of North Maluku Province Mulyadi Tutupoho stated on Friday.

The rapid test was conducted at Hotel Sahid Balla International Ternate that serves as the media center of the North Maluku COVID-19 Task Force.
The rapid test conducted on 23 journalists of print, electronic, and online media yielded a non-reactive result, he revealed.
Since the journalists are always on the forefront in disseminating information on COVID-19 to the public, they should remain vigilant over the spread of the virus.
