Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Sulianti Saroso Infectious Diseases Hospital (RSPI) in Jakarta has registered 2,850 people under surveillance for the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as of April 10.

The number of people under surveillance at the hospital has increased by 10 in the past 24 hours, according to data received on Friday by ANTARA in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the number of patients under surveillance at the hospital has reached 66. Of the total, seven have died of the virus, 18 are still undergoing treatment, and 41 have recovered.

The hospital has also treated 56 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 32 have recovered, eight are being treated, and the rest have succumbed to the virus.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Indonesia has risen to 3,512 as of Friday, with the number of deaths reaching 306 and recoveries totaling 282.

According to the Task Force for the Acceleration of COVID-19 Response, COVID-19 has now spread to all 34 provinces in the country, with the Gorontalo Province confirming its first positive case.

"The 219 new positive cases have brought the total to 3,512, while 30 patients have recovered, and 26 new fatalities have been recorded," Achmad Yurianto, the government’s spokesperson for COVID-19 response, informed the press on Friday.

Jakarta has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases in Indonesia, accounting for 1,753 cases, or nearly 50 percent, of the nation’s total cases.
