We're incredibly excited to launch our new tech platform, and to formalize the close collaboration we've had with the teams at GET and GoViet for yearsJakarta (ANTARA) - Gojek further strengthens its position as Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand super app by integrating its digital technology in four countries from August, 2020.
The super app is currently offered under the name of Gojek in Indonesia and Singapore, GoViet in Vietnam, and GET in Thailand. The startup plans to unify its digital technology across the four nations and bring them under one platform by rebranding operations in Thailand and Vietnam to Gojek.
Since its launch in 2015, Gojek has developed into a super app with a user base of 170 million. By integration its applications, the startup hopes to improve services and strengthen its leading position as a provider of everyday solutions to consumers in Indonesia as well as other countries.
The move is also targeted at improving customer experience: the rebranding will allow Gojek users in Indonesia to use the same platform in Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand, and vice versa. According to the company, this demonstrates its commitment to focus relentlessly on consumers, which is a part of Gojek’s long-term business strategy, announced late last year.
"The integration of the Gojek application in four countries is in line with our mission to make daily life easier for all users, including during one of the most difficult periods in history. In addition, this integration is part of Gojek's business strategy to provide a better experience for everyone in our ecosystem, today and for years to come," Gojek's co-CEO Andre Soelistyo said here on Friday.
The move also reflects Gojek's deep commitment to customer innovation. "We are always innovating to help customers meet their needs and creating thriving ecosystems in each of the markets we've entered," he added.
“We're incredibly excited to launch our new tech platform, and to formalize the close collaboration we've had with the teams at GET and GoViet for years. By unifying our tech, we'll be able to transform the user experience, bring new features and products to markets faster, scale to serve multiple countries more quickly, and increase income-earning opportunities for our partners. We're continuing to implement our vision as we focus on what the Gojek of the next ten years is going to be like, and we're hopeful for what the future holds,” Gojek's co-CEO Kevin Aluwi said.
