Solo, C Java (ANTARA) - National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia has said it will resume flights on the Solo-Denpasar route from November 6, 2020 to cater to the high demand for air transport services.

“Exactly in early November, Garuda Indonesia will operate Boeing 737/800 with flight number GIA 480/481 (to serve the flight route),” Yani Ajat Hermawan, general manager of Adi Soemarmo Airport run by state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I Bandara, said here on Monday.

Garuda will operate flights on the route twice a week on Fridays and Saturdays, starting November 6, 2020, he informed.

He said Garuda aircraft bound for Solo (GIA 480) will depart from Denpasar at 2.10 p.m., while the flight to Denpasar (GIA 481) will depart from Solo at 2.55 p.m.

Lion Group is currently operating a daily flight ( JT 924) on the Solo-Denpasar route.

Garuda Indonesia station manager for Solo, Rudi Soemarjanto, confirmed plans for reopening the flight route.

“The reopening of the Denpasar-Solo-Denpasar flight route is (part of) Garuda’s service for passengers traveling on the Solo-Denpasar-Solo flight route,” he said.
