Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Disease Control and Prevention of the Health Ministry has issued a circular letter on COVID-19 vaccination for senior citizens, people with comorbidities, COVID-19 survivors and delayed target.

The National Advisory Committee on Immunization has confirmed that the COVID-19 vaccine can be administered to people aged 60 years and above, people with comorbidity, COVID-19 survivors, and breastfeeding mothers, after an additional anamnesis, according to the circular letter obtained here on Friday.

According to the circular letter, people aged 60 years and above will be administered two doses of vaccine injections at an interval of 28 days.

People with comorbidities, including those with hypertension, could receive the vaccine shot except for those with blood pressure reading of above 180/110 mm Hg. Blood pressure checks should be conducted before the screening process.
