Jakarta (ANTARA) - Fourteen people were injured due to a suicide bomb attack outside Cathedral Church in Makassar, South Sulawesi on Sunday morning, police said.

"In total, 14 people are being treated. Hopefully, they could be discharged soon, particularly those with light injuries," Chief of the Public Relations Division at the National Police Headquarters Inspector General Argo Yuwono said.

Argo said three of the injured are being treated at Stella Maris Hospital, seven at Akademis Hospital, and four at Pelamonia Hospital.

Most of them sustained injuries on their legs, heads, feet, neck and face.

"The victims comprise church security officers and worshipers," he said.

The seven victims treated at Akademi Hospital sustained injuries on their feet and thigh.

"They have received medical treatment," he said.

The other four victims are being treated at Pelamonia Hospital for injuries on their thigh, feet, and face, he said.

Some body parts were also found along with damaged motorcycle in the bomb attack scene.

It is believed the body parts belonged to two suspected suicide bomb attackers.
