A total of 928 patients were referred to other hospitals for intensive treatment, Chief of the Information Service of the Joint Defense Territory Command Marine Colonel Aris Mudian noted in a written statement released on Wednesday.
Mudian noted that 6,671 patients, comprising 3,395 men and 3,276 women, were currently receiving treatment at the hospital. The figure rose by 269 as compared to 6,402 earlier.
"All the patients are being treated at towers four, five, six, and seven," he revealed.
Since March 20, 2020, a total of 91,568 patients were discharged from the COVID-19 emergency hospital, he noted.
Meanwhile, 102 COVID-19 patients, comprising 80 men and 22 women, are being treated at the Special Infection Hospital (RSKI) on Galang Island, Riau Islands Province.
"All patients have tested positive (for COVID-19). No suspected COVID-19 patients are treated there," he noted.
Mudian noted that the RSKI had admitted 14,077 COVID-19 patients since April 12, 2020. Of the total, 6,636 patients recovered from COVID-19 and 7,297 patients were asymptomatic. No patient died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
