Family resilience and welfare must be realized to create a quality future generation of the nation. The pandemic should not become an obstaclePalangka Raya (ANTARA) - National Family Day should be a momentum for improving youth's character, welfare, and family resilience amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Population Control, Family Planning, Head of the Palangka Raya's Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Office Sahdin Hasan stated.
"Family resilience and welfare must be realized to create a quality future generation of the nation. The pandemic should not become an obstacle," Hasan remarked here on Wednesday.
Hasan noted that National Family Day, observed in the midst of a pandemic, should be utilized by all families, especially those in Palangka Raya City, to strengthen family resilience.
Hasan noted that the family, as the smallest unit in society, has an important and major role in providing understanding and habituation in the implementation of health protocols, especially when COVID-19 spreads in the family.
"Parents must also teach all family members to apply health protocols by using masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds," he affirmed.
Hasan stressed that if every community protects their families from the transmission of COVID-19, the spread of the virus, which has mutated several times, can be suppressed.
In an effort to strengthen the role of the family to break the chain of spread of COVID-19, the Palangkaraya Population Control Service always disseminates information and offers education about the importance of implementing health protocols.
