Jakarta (ANTARA) - Complying with the health protocols is a simple example of upholding Pancasila values, deputy for control and evaluation at the Agency for the Implementation of State Ideology Pancasila (BPIP), Dr. Rima Agristina, has said.

"For example, by wearing a mask, I have indirectly implemented the values of Pancasila because I care about others so we will not get exposed to the virus," she said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

By following the health protocols recommended by the government, every individual can try to protect others, too, she added. This is in line with the second principle of Pancasila, which envisages a just and civilized humanity, she explained.

Amid the current pandemic situation, the public must take advantage of the health services that are being provided to prevent the spread of COVID-19, such as vaccines and free swab tests, Agristina said.

She expressed hoped that there would be no more people refusing or opposing the health service efforts and policies made by the government for helping the nation overcome COVID-19 outbreak.

Agristina also emphasized that all elements of society have the moral responsibility to act accordingly to the health protocols during this pandemic situation.

"We need to unite and show the world that Indonesia can overcome the COVID-19 pandemic," she said.
