Programs, as a form of gratitude to healthcare workers, must be implemented to support them
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta provincial government, in collaboration with the Jakarta Experience Board (JXB), held a virtual entertainment event for Jakarta's health workers on Tuesday.

The JXB or PT Jakarta Tourisindo, is Jakarta's regional administration-owned company (BUMD) engaged in tourism, hospitality, creative economy, and city beautification sectors.

“Programs, as a form of gratitude to healthcare workers, must be implemented to support them. JXB will always support appreciation programs for health workers and the COVID-19 handling programs in Jakarta. Let us rise together," JXB President Director Novita Dewi noted in a statement here on Wednesday.

Artists -- Reza Chandika, Kunto Aji, and Marcella -- enlivened the virtual event. Over 700 health workers from 32 hospitals and various health centers in Jakarta partook in the event.

The entertainment program was packaged as a chat session wherein guests shared their humorous experiences during public activity restrictions (PPKM). The frontliners shared their unique experiences while on duty.

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan also joined as a mystery guest in the event and commended the healthcare workers, who have been working hard amid the pandemic.

After conversing with the frontline workers, Aji sang three songs, "Sulung," "Selaras," and "Rehat," to evoke a sense of happiness among the health workers.

Marcela, the author of the famous novel "Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari ini", ended the event on a cordial note by conveying her warm regards to the healthcare workers.

JXB has long contributed to the pandemic handling program and appreciation programs for health workers. Earlier, JXB had provided accommodation services to healthcare workers at six of its hotels.

Last May, JXB had also initiated the #TraktirNakes campaign in collaboration with Jakarta MSMEs to provide meals for over one thousand healthcare workers as a form of support.
