Through this policy, people will no longer need to show a worker registration certificate (STRP) that was earlier required to enter the bus stop area.
PT TransJakarta Operations Director Prasetia Budi stated here on Friday that his side had coordinated with the Jakarta Transportation Office for the implementation of the rule and dissemination of information to the public.
"During these first three days, TransJakarta urges all people that have not received the COVID-19 vaccination to immediately get vaccinated, so that they can use the TransJakarta services as well as being part of the efforts to suppress virus transmission," Budi remarked.
This policy is contained in Decree (SK) of the Jakarta Transportation Office Number 321 of 2021 on technical guidelines for limiting transport capacity and operational time of transportation facilities during the enforcement of level 4 public activity restrictions (PPKM) against the Coronavirus Disease 2019.
During the implementation, prospective passengers are required to show a proof of COVID-19 vaccination, at least the first dose, printed or through the PeduliLindungi application.
TransJakarta is assisted by officers from the Jakarta Transportation Office for the inspection process, Budi noted.
"To minimize queues, prospective customers are expected to have prepared all the requirements before entering the bus stop area," he remarked.
During the implementation of the PPKM Level 4 period in Jakarta, TransJakarta operates from 5:00 to 20:30 local time and provides special buses for health workers that operate from 20:31 to 21:30 local time.
To stem virus transmission, TransJakarta has also imposed a cap on the transportation capacity, limiting it to 50 percent of their buses' total capacity.
