Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Healthtech Association will hold the Health Technology Solution (HTS) 2021 from August 25-26, 2021 with the aim of strengthening Indonesia's health technology sector.

HTS is an annual event for health industry's stakeholders such as policymakers, producers, operators, and workers in the health industry.

"The Health Ministry hopes that this online event can proceed well and become a platform to strengthen the health technology sector in Indonesia," Health Ministry's primary policy analyst Oscar Primadi, who will be a speaker at HTS 2021,said in a press statement issued on Saturday.

Another Health Ministry official who is scheduled to speak at HTS 2021, Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi. She is the ministry's director for prevention and control of direct communicable diseases.

She said the event will also strengthen the nation's collective response to health problems.

It is expected that Indonesia's health sector will be in a better position to prevent, prepare, respond, and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic as well as contribute toward national health security, she said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of HTS 2021's steering board, Dr. Edi Alpino Siregar, said the event will not only look at solutions, but also provide a variety of inputs and knowledge surrounding the development of health technology and its application in the future.

Each stakeholder in Indonesia's health industry, including renowned health technology and solution corporations, along with over 30 national speakers will discuss the latest topics and technologies, explore viewpoints, as well as solutions to bolster the quality of health services in Indonesia, he added.

HTS 2021 will touch upon a variety of topics, such as digital transformation in the COVID-19 pandemic era, monitoring the progress of data integration in the health industry, as well as digitalization and efficiency of sustainable hospitals, he said.
