Jakarta (ANTARA) - The government has disbursed Rp51.97 trillion in tax intensives as of mid-August 2021, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has said.

"We are still providing tax incentives to drive business sectors to recover and become strong,” she informed at an online press conference on APBN KiTA (Our State Budget) here on Wednesday.

She said the tax incentives comprised Rp50.24 trillion disbursed under the Finance Minister’s Regulation Number 9, Rp304.6 billion under the Finance Minister’s Regulation Number 21, and Rp1.43 trillion under the Finance Minister’s Regulation Number 31.

The tax incentives disbursed under the Finance Minister’s Regulation Number 9 covered Article 21 income tax incentives worth Rp2.09 trillion provided to 76,025 job providers, Article 22 income tax incentives worth Rp17.15 trillion offered to 9,305 taxpayers, Article 25 income tax incentives worth Rp19.31 trillion given yo 56,858 taxpayers, and refund on value added tax worth Rp4.39 trillion provided to 1,995 taxpayers, the minister informed.

The incentives also include the reduced tariff of Article 25 corporate income tax from 25 percent to 22 percent, applicable to all corporate taxpayers, to the tune of Rp6.84 trillion and final income tax incentives to the tune of Rp450 billion for 125,198 micro small and medium entrepreneurs, she added.

She said incentives set forth in the Finance Minister’s Regulation Number 21, including government-borne value added tax for taxpayers’ houses, reached Rp304.6 billion for 7,069 buyers from 574 real-estate developers.

The incentive disbursed under the Finance Minister’s Regulation Number 31 included luxury sale tax-free facilities for motorized vehicles reached Rp1.43 trillion for six automotive firms, she added.
