"We have heard good news from President Joko Widodo that the PPKM level in several agglomeration areas has been lowered, from level 4 to level 3," Asmoro remarked at an online PPKM press release here on Wednesday.
Based on the Google Community Mobility Report data, Asmoro noted that mobility of the people in Jakarta decreased by more than 30 percent when the level 4 of PPKM was implemented.
The existing indicators during the PPKM enforcement have shown better results.
"Data from the dashboard of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force shows that the mask compliance rate among people of Jakarta reached above 90 percent," she stated.
Asmoro revealed that a mask compliance rate of over 80 percent was recorded in the cities of Depok and Bogor. Meanwhile, an average compliance rate of 80 percent was observed in Tangerang and South Tangerang. This indicated that most residents in those areas were disciplined in wearing masks.
Based on data from Statistics Indonesia, the use of hand washing facilities using soap and running water increased in households in urban areas, from 79.42 percent during the pre-pandemic period to 82.09 percent during the pandemic.
The spokesperson noted that residents' social distancing compliance, especially in the Jabodetabek area, was recorded at 70 to above 90 percent, while the rate was 85-90 percent in Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Gresik.
Asmoro thanked and lauded all levels of society for willingly cooperating with the government to comply with health protocols and adequately following the PPKM.
