The number of LRT passengers is predicted to reach up to 675 thousand per day by 2025.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Adhi Commuter Properti (ADCP) has said that it will undertake two new projects in Cikunir and Pancoran areas, thereby increasing the number of projects in its Jabodebek LRT line phase 1 portfolio to nine.

"In the near future, there will be two additional new project developments, which will be in the Cikunir and Pancoran areas. Thus, we will have nine projects on the Jabodebek LRT line phase 1," president director of Adhi Commuter Properti, Rizkan Firman, said at a virtual media gathering here on Thursday.

According to Firman, this shows that Adhi Commuter Properti dominates developments around Jabodebek LRT stations, making it the first and largest transit-oriented development company, or TOD, in Indonesia.

All of the company's projects located near the Jabodebek (Jakarta - Bogor - Depok - Bekasi) LRT route points have the potential to become highly developed residential areas, he added.

"Most of our development is currently located at Jabodebek LRT line points phase 1, and we have been informed that its progress has reached 90 percent and it will be fully operational by mid-2022 for commercial purposes," Firman disclosed.

Adhi Commuter Properti has a strong portfolio of existing and new TOD projects in Jabodetabek, he informed. The entire area has a total of more than 54 thousand residential units, with a land bank of 140 hectares, according to Firman.

LRT (Light Rapid Transit) will be a backbone of mass transportation in Jabodebek, in addition to the KRL Commuter Line, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), he remarked.

President Joko Widodo had earlier said that Jabodebek LRT will become operational in June 2022.

Currently, several TOD projects of ADCP are in a position to benefit the community as the LRT will operate on the lines of Cibubur - Cawang, Cawang - Dukuh Atas, Cawang - East Bekasi, Firman said.

The number of LRT passengers is predicted to reach up to 675 thousand per day by 2025, he noted.

ADCP's optimism is also reflected in the company's positive performance, he added.
