"All patients confirmed positive (for COVID-19) are being treated at towers Four, Five, Six, and Seven, and comprise 116 male and 148 female patients," head of information for the Joint Regional Military Command, Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, noted in a statement here on Wednesday.
The number of patients has declined by 19 from 283 inpatients recorded earlier, he informed. In total, 126,171 patients have recovered at the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital and 1,035 patients have been referred to other hospitals, he added.
Meanwhile, 596 patients have died of COVID-19 at the hospital. The recapitulation of patients in towers Four, Five, Six, and Seven was conducted from March 23, 2020 till September 29, 2021, he informed.
The emergency hospital has so far registered 128,066 patients, with the number of outpatients recorded at 127,802, he added.
Mudian also provided information on the condition of COVID-19 patients at the Pademangan Athletes Village.
At least 4,776 inpatients, comprising 2,471 male patients and 2,339 female patients, have been registered at the Pademangan Athletes Village, he said. They are being treated in towers Eight, Nine, and Ten, he added.
Currently, 287 infected patients are undergoing treatment at the Galang Islands Hospital for Infectious Disease, he disclosed.
Between April 12, 2020 and September 29, 2021, the Galang Islands Hospital for Infectious Disease recorded a total of 16,640 patients, with the number of outpatients pegged at 16,353, who comprised 42 patients referred to other hospitals, he informed. Meanwhile, of the total patients, 9,013 patients made a recovery and 7,297 patients have completed treatment at the hospital, he added.
This is one of the several good tidings of the pandemic situation, he remarked. Several regions have currently downgraded their level of community activities restrictions on account of fewer people contracting COVID-19, he noted.
The situation has returned to normal to some extent now, and some leeway in activities has been provided, such as reopening of limited face-to-face learning and malls, he added.
